"But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you (Matthew 6:33)."

The above scripture is the foundation  of this Christian children's book by Janis Cox. This book is about Yoj who lived in the Kingdom of Thrim. He was gifted in doll making and enjoyed all that God had blessed him with until he is made an offer without consulting God. Over time, Yoj learned many lessons, especially in the area of trusting God and obeying His voice. He also assisted in leading others to developing and building a relationship with God.

The main theme in this book is seeking God for His purpose and plan for your life. It also highlights the truth that God created us all with gifts and talents.

The beautiful images were hand-crafted by the author. She is truly gifted indeed. I believe that many age groups would enjoy this story. As a 7th grade language arts teacher, it would be great when trying to get students to understand  certain concepts like theme and internal conflict. As a youth group leader and mentor, this book would be an awesome resource to use when teaching about purpose and the importance of obeying God.

I truly enjoyed this book. I gave it a 5. It's not just a good story. It is a powerful resource for young and old alike. I am looking forward to using this book and other resources from this author. It is clear that she has a true heart for God and wants others to do the same.
